Save Lambeth Women’s Project!

Lambeth Women’s Project has been around for over 30 years, providing an important space for women to get support and access vital services. But the same weekend that the media and large swathes of the public were going wild about the Jubilee, the project found out that the school which they share their building with were attempting to make them homeless.

I have been to LWP many times and know what an amazing and unique space and resource it is, and what a labour of love it has been for the women who have kept this project going for so many years.

Over the last two weeks, a campaign to stop an eviction from happening has taken hold, including nightly pot banging protests in Windrush Square in Brixton, to raise awareness about what is happening.

Check out the campaign blog, which is up-to-date with the latest developments, press coverage and future plans for the campaign.

This short film made by a supporter of the campaign gives a great insight into the value of LWP. Watch and share, and please do what you can to support LWP stay where it belongs.
